Judi is proud to be a native of Victoria (not many of us left) It seemed only fitting to be drawn to painting at an early age, surrounded by so much natural beauty and she aspires to convey this in her paintings.

She started painting in oils years ago taking classes when time permitted. With raising three children and running her hair stylist business, her time for art was limited. However, as of late, Judi has been enjoying the time and freedom of the last few years to pursue her passion for painting. Her medium lately is watercolour. She has taken numerous workshops to help her in the transitiion and finds watercolour to be a greater challenge but loves the softness and versatility.

Many of her ideas come from sailing the American San Juan Islands and the Canadian Gulf Islands as far as Desolation Sound on "Eden" the sloop she and her (late) husband Charlie cruise the islands on. Recently she has been enjoying Plein Air painting at some of our lovely lagoons and woodlands with the "Juan de Fuca Plein Air Painters".
