As a prairie girl from Manitoba, I lived in several provinces and settled on Vancouver Island (BC). Attracted to the natural locations and the people and wildlife who inhabit here has given me an appreciation for this big land.  

Being on many sites for plein air painting, sitting among the grasses and trees, looking out over the water, watching man’s activity and Wildlife has created in me a desire not to paint perfect butto paint how I feel on those occasions and appreciate God’s creation.

Painting since 1999 after being challenged by a local artist/teacher to really “look at what I was seeing”, I see things that before would have been just what appeared to be – not what it might be or what it could be.

I have been challenged over the years by the people who have purchased my art, both paintings and cards.  I have enjoyed painting people’s pets and seeing what they look like to me and hoping the owners will like what they see as well.
